fishinwrench Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 I can't for the life of me understand you guys that do all kinds of stuff outdoors....but wear gloves and face masks when you fish. Does the sun know you are fishing and take offense to it, bearing down harder on you when fishing than it does when working, washing the car, mowing grass and raking leaves ? One of the local boys works for the road district and is outside all day in all sorts of weather.....but when he goes FISHING he covers up like a bank robber. What in the Sam Hell ? 🤔
tjm Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 I have read that UV bounces off the water, so that the dosage while boating might be double that collected working on the boat in the yard. That said a sombrero and a chambray shirt will protect as much as needed. Thousands of generations of hominins survived the sun or we wouldn't be here now. What in the Sam Hell ? 🤔 I'm not outside in direct sunlight for 8-10 hours straight while doing those other activities. I don't get all covered up to fish if I'm just going out for a few hours either. fishinwrench 1

Maybe you should relocate to the far North. Put a little more distance between yourself and that deadly ball of fire. You were probably supposed to be a Martian. 😄 I should probably be further South, or on Venus, since I'm more likely to freeze to death than I am to burn up.

My mom had red hair and fair skin and my dad was a dark skinned Italian. My brother has dark skin and never burns. I always wished I had the same trait but I don't so I deal with what I got. Not really a big deal except it eats at the core of your being and that alone makes my suffering worth it. News flash. If everyone had just stayed in the area where they were born then we would all be better off. Both sides of my lineage are originally from Scotland but migrated to middle America. Maybe most of ya are just a bunch of mutts. 😂 snagged in outlet 3 1
