Our member here @Harps is all about catching a musky on a fly. He let me tag along a couple of afternoons this week as he made his last attempts until the water cools off. Harps is horrible at catching musky on the fly but he's persistent and he will eventually get his nut. I'll continue to tag along and not add much to the effort. But I do take pictures!! Well except the last one. I had to make him take a pic of me since I'm the only one that ever catches anything.

Nice photos @Flysmallie! Would like to see him catch a musky on a fly in MO.  Though I am glad to see someone catch something on your trips 😁. Has he ever tried Henry Sever or Hazel Creek lakes in the fall?

Any follows?

Two this year. Could have netted one of them that came right up to the boat.

I have had eats the past couple of years that the fish either missed the fly, or jumped and spit the fly.

I've only fished expressly for a musky on Fellows. May try Pomme this fall. Henry and Hazel would practically require overnight trips for me from my location. Would like to make a trip north and fish for them where they're native. I've been up there and caught pike on the fly, but not a musky.
