I am glad that you survived and appreciate you sharing your story.  Prayers sent. 

I hope to take my dad fishing this weekend and we will try to catch some fish, but will trying for different species.  The 4th of July weekend, I caught several bass including one that weight ~6lbs.  That is a lot of fun when you are fishing for crappie and it is a surprise.

darn dude, sorry to hear that.  Remember the story.  There are fish to be caught, I have some crappie fillets I would bring ya if you get fish hungry!  This fall when the lakes are back to normal the fishing should be great and the spawn should have been a good one too.

I busted my shin on a trailer tongue jack and cried a lil'bit. My daughter tried to console me with a band-aid and a caramel vanilla cone....but what I really need for my recovery is a handful of big helgrammites in black with red flake.  😌

I am kind, but I can’t think of anything worse than life in prison w/o parole. A quick execution or delayed execution after 20 yrs let’s him off too easy. Let him experience“hell” on earth for the rest of his days. You can’t bank on hell after death, demand it here! When well BF, would be glad to float you. Will do the NFOW and St Francis next week.

Wrench is getting old that is what it is. Also been acting some what domesticated.  You need to understand that Mitch and be patient with him

So sorry to hear of your situation bassfisher. May you heal fast and well.

 

I too live in Willard and my wife and I have received several threatening comments while driving around town in Springfield. We are in the process of getting a conceal and carry permit for both of us. One of these idiots even screamed at me to go back where I came from. I thought these jerks only picked on immigrants. I am as white as it comes and of German descent. lol  Live is too short for that kind of attitude.

In a drive-by situation having a gun is no help, and will probably just end with YOU in jail, and definitely with your gun confiscated.   If someone shoots at you and then immediately drives or is running away you can't just return fire, because at that point they are no longer a threat.   You can't use your gun to "retaliate", you can only use it to protect your life in the moment of the attack.  

Everybody wants to pack a gun around, but I don't think they are in touch with reality.  You, as a citizen, do not have "STOP OR I'LL SHOOT" authority, no matter what someone just did to you, and no matter what you are afraid they MIGHT do.
