On the plus side there's been a decent green bass bite last few days.

Yeah we had a pretty fine day of Froggin' the backends mid-day Friday after that cool rain.  Some pretty fair quality fish were biting.  Then we hit the flats for Whites in the evening and could have loaded the boat real good if we had gotten to them a few hours sooner.  Pretty sure those Whites were biting good all day under that blustery sky.

My tackle box is covered in white bass crap too. I didn’t even realize it until I got home and unloaded it from the back of the truck. Nasty sons of guns.

BOY WRENCH.. Can I ever relate 6o that. I remember a time back in the day years back  before the creation of the drunk dump Coconuts when the points around the mouth of the Gravois were really hot spots for really good sized whites. I used to go down there every evening with a neighbor. and catch them on the rise. You could no more than lift them from the water and the S---- would fly in every direction. Some of it winding up on your clothes. Got so bad Pat would make me change clothes before I could get into the house and go directly to the shower. Boat looked worse than that Ranger for days on end. I think it amounts to nothing more than gorging themselves on shad. Same thing happens with us humans.

Man whites are just  pigs when they eat.  I've been in a boat surrounded by acres of surfacing whites.  So thick they were running into the boat and you didn't even have to cast to catch one.  Just drop a purple swimming minnow over the side and lift one in.  Anyway,  they eat, eat more, until completely stuffed and then puke, then go right back to eating again.Im guessing  some of the shad were probably  in their stomachs less than 5 minutes before they were thrown up and then another white would eat the others barf.  Lol.  I watched this go on for a half hour.  No wonder they crap all over the place.
