oneshot Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Because it is to get nasty we started the Wood Heat. Nice! Problem is last night I turned fan off and it got cold back part of the house but I learned. oneshot snagged in outlet 3 and nomolites 2
Dutch Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 I started a fire early this year since I have a lot of free wood. I’ve had to keep the back door partially open to be able to stay in the house. Maybe I should have waited for colder weather. snagged in outlet 3 1
oneshot Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 Our Insert is rated 3500 Sq. Ft. I first fired it up had it 135 degrees in here. A bit much. Because I’m down we have been mostly using Propane. oneshot
jdmidwest Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 135 Degrees is like medium rare..... Might want to stick to the propane snagged in outlet 3 and MOstreamer 2 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Might want to stick to the propane That was first time using it. Now just put 3 sticks in and cut the air down. Keeps the house between 75 and 80 degrees which is fine. You would think Creosote would build up but we clean the Flue every year and it is always pretty clean. Have to have Ceiling Fan on to keep pushing the heat around. Last couple years have heated with just wood but I was more able to cut it. oneshot snagged in outlet 3 and MOstreamer 2
MOPanfisher Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Many years ago when we lived in the old house we had a big ashley wood stove we used for heat and it had to heat everything. In 1o84 we built a new huse and moved the big Ashley into it. The first time we built a fire we had all the doors and windows open. Made it through 2 winters with a window basically wide open. Finally dad decided that was enough and put in a Warm Morning propane stove and it's still here. Ironically dad decided to go with propane about the same time I completely moved out for college? oneshot Posted November 2, 2019 Author Posted November 2, 2019 Let the fire die down and got Propane going 75 degrees and my wife is about to freeze. Son was supposed to cut wood for us but he is sick. Went out side our Solar Attic Fan is working. We put New Insulation in my wife thinks that is just it. oneshot
fishinwrench Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 My wife was concerned about freezing to death the night before last. I had to remind her that it was colder in the house back in July when she was bitching about the kids going in and out too many times. 🙄 Mitch f and tjm 1 1

Our Son brought two Pickup loads of Firewood supposed to bring more if my wife had her way we would heat with wood all Winter. My Mother in Law had Space Heather quit. So she bought a New One. My wife went over to check it out. Her Brother had Hot Water Heater, Light and Plug In all on one Breaker. She had just thrown a Breaker. oneshot snagged in outlet 3 1
