fishinwrench Posted December 15, 2019 Author Posted December 15, 2019 HVO has property 300 yards below the old bridge piers now, so you can have them shuttle you. Or you can access at HVO's takeout and it's a doable paddle/drag upstream to the riffles at Ho-Humm.
ness Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 Not very familiar with the Niangua and no clue who you all are talking about. Is it the Ho Hum guy, or somebody near there? Just curious. I understand if you don't want to get too specific here. John

tjm Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 That crazy, maybe dangerous, and he still operates a business? What's his customers like?

I assume that some folks still camp there, and I haven't heard of any catastrophes YET, but I had an up-close and personal, totally unprovoked, confrontation with him awhile back that I truly thought was gonna end badly. I spoke with several people in the area about it and every one of them said the same thing......"yeah that dude is VERY odd" and had their own particular story about him. I have all the faith in the world that he'll be in news eventually. I just advise folks to stay the hell away from there. He packs a big ol' Dan Wesson hogleg everywhere he goes. snagged in outlet 3 1

If I was buying a piece of riverfront property on the Niangua I would definitely want that to be it. The history of that particular spot is really interesting. https://thelibrary.org/lochist/periodicals/bittersweet/sp79j.htm awhuber and snagged in outlet 3 2
Gavin Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 A shame it’s owned by an azzhole. Like old red smile on the Black..
fishinwrench Posted December 16, 2019 Author Posted December 16, 2019 One thing is for sure....he won't outlive the river. 😉 Neither will the Niangua Cattle Company. 🖕 Flysmallie and slothman 1 1

I’ve dealt with plenty around and seems every one of them trying to cut the others throats. Had one I thought was nice until they stole 6 Rafts. HVO is fairly New so is Wild Oaks I like dealing with Wild Oaks. NRO use to be bad and they have made changes. River Front has always been good to me. Some are Old School and really don’t give a crap and surprising they are still running. Some of it is people coming in thinking there is no Laws which has brought in Law Enforcement letting them know different. oneshot
