The most recent generation, which gets derided so much, already have a shorter life expectancy.

Interesting - first I have seen that assertion.  The problems you mention are certainly not new, I heard them first as a child 50+ years ago.  While certainly areas where we need to continue to move in new directions I hadn’t heard they represent immediate threats to life expectancy for humans alive today.  Now bombs, bullets, and bugs, those are another story.

Anyone ever have them go between you and the bank when you are fishing the bank.

Only once so far, I was fishing on a Bella Vista lake, bluegill fishing, probably about a medium cast away from the bank - couple of yaks were working their way down the bank fishing, got close enough to start a conversation with us, friendly conversation, then they ask me if they can paddle between me and the bank, we were done for the day and I said sure, go ahead, probably would've asked them to go around if I had intended to stay.  Thought it was kind of funny that they needed to go between me and the bank, could've very easily gone around the other side of the boat.

There's a gal on Table Rock that paddles down the bank as exercise early on summer mornings, I see her all the time, she'll go between me and the bank unless I'm really close to the bank.  It doesn't bother me, if it spooks the fish it is only temporary.

As a kid we used to have nuclear warfare duck and cover drills in school - go out into the hall, sit down face first to the wall, bend over and cover the back of your neck with your hands.  In other words, kiss your posterior goodbye, LOL.

Courtesy docks are the primary reason I put transom savers on all my boats I have ever owned. I won't bother with it anymore. If there is a place to safely beach it that is my preference, because...you just never know what kind of shenanigans will be going down on the courtesy dock when you are ready to use it. That said, blocking the RAMP is a much bigger offense than blocking the courtesy dock IMO and will quickly get politely challenged by yours truly.

How come a post about fishing can't get this level of activity?

Click up one level and you'll see there are 404 topics listed in the Table Rock forum alone. And there's a recent fishing post that has 1400+ views and just 14 replies. Lots and lots of fishing info here, just not all of it's getting talked about today.

900+ pages in the 'What's Cooking' thread if you're interested. :D

It is easy to argue that straight white males born in the United States from 1945 to 1970 are the most entitled group of human beings ever to have existed.  Straight white males born from 1970-1990 (myself included) can very easily be lumped into that group as well.  The most recent generation, which gets derided so much, already have a shorter life expectancy.  They will face problems from overpopulation, environmental destruction, and climate change.  They also have to deal with an inexplicable rise in non communicable diseases, mental health problems, and probably worse than anything else, the internet and social medial.  I firmly believe that my 16 year old nephew is just as smart and hard working as anyone.

Black males born after 1975 are the most coddled group in America. They knock up their women with reckless abandon and aren’t expected to have any responsibilities whatsoever. Combine that with affirmative action and you have a recipe for disaster.

anyone heard of blair's dock service.  had a run in with them at the mill creek ramp today.  they seem to think that the parking ramp and courtesy dock are places for them to work.  they had boats tied up to the dock completely blocking the side the wind was blowing into, which was the only side to safely pick up someone or to drop them off.  the wind would blow the boat away from the dock on the down wind side before anyone could safely enter or exit a boat.

i intend to have a visit with the corp about them.

So, how was the fishing?
