While you may score that as man's greatest accomplishment, what actual purpose was it?   What did anyone gain by it ?  The things that insects, animals, and the wind build are equally impressive IMO

Very significant for US.  Not significant at all in the context of the solar system, the galaxy, the universe.  That's kinda my point.  What we do, how we affect our society and our world, IS what is important, because it's important to us, to future humans, and to our home.  But it has very, very little cosmic significance.  Religions ALWAYS put us at the center of the universe..."made in the image of God".  But there are (channeling Carl Sagan) billions and billions of stars in the universe, so if Earth is the only planet with intelligent life, God did a heck of a lot of apparently pointless work.

But it doesn’t take a religion to see we are different and superior, and therefore “significant”. Rocks, plants and sand are cool, but saying there are more significant than us in any context goes against everything I believe. 
There is a distinction between God and Man. There is a distinction between man and woman. There is a distinction between Man and animals. AND, most definitely, there’s a distinction between Man and earth. This earth will pass and it’s part of the Master plan you don’t agree with.

I read this whole thread.  Let me tell you do not understand anyone till you walk a mile in their shoes. As to being equal. Well I have been lived on both sides of discrimination. I have been guilty of if and suffered under it as well. Seems to me like it is jealousy and wanting everything for self rather than a fault in the people themselves. As to religion. There are real just a few types. Those that do not read the bible. Those who do and take literally word for word. Those who go to church every Sunday and cheat and undermine others till next Sunday.  I could never describe people like that any better than a song a friend of mine wrote and sings. " You don't love god if you don't love your neighbor." I have told Rhonda many times what a profound truth she has created. Then the political types with there twisted beliefs that are fueled by their political beliefs. 

 I am 80 and in failing health. As bad as it sounds I am sort of happy I will not be around to see the world that everyone is creating. most people are blind to what is going on.We are headed for a revolution in this county and war in the world. I been hearing for over 3 years now about cleaning up the this alleged swamp. Just what is the swamp??. I am confused. Does it mean anyone who does not agree with Trump or some racist thinking  is in the swamp. I got a neighbor who has his R 15 and a big magazine. He is just waiting for the president to call him to arms some he can go down into to area and shoot some people.

I might be able to clear that up a little. 

The job that the POTUS does really doesn't require someone that is wicked smart and 100% PC in their demeanor. As a matter of fact we are better off if the president is not way more clever than everyone else around him/her.   Wicked smart people are way too capable of pulling off crap that they can't be pinned down for.  

There's a balance point there.  You want someone smart enough to not make critically bad decisions on our behalf, but not so smart that they can do whatever they want for whoever they want....and do it in a fashion that checkmates everyone else at the same time.

Obama and Hillary are both "overqualified" for the job.   Trump seems to be a pretty good balance.  He is just enough of a goofball to keep us doing well without getting us into seriously bad trouble.    Obama and Hillary are so sharp they can (and did) screw us 9 ways to Sunday....and still have us kissing their feet.

Trump didn’t need to become President and was doing just fine.

As far as Loving your neighbor I was just talking about this today God was clear on people of other beliefs and Jesus didn’t change this he just gave hope to the Gentiles saying they are Gods children too.

Now as far as Homosexuals God and Jesus was clear on this.

I was thinking over Christian Magazine putting down Trump. Why worry about him when they know he is not really the one in control. 
 

No I didn’t read all post and yes I have my own interpretation of the Bible as everyone else.

Enough people do. Enough that they can walk in front of a crowd, get cheered, and begged to run again.  They truly want them back in office.   

Trump's speeches are like fingernails on a chalkboard, with all that crowing about how he is all "win, win, win", but I guess the reason he does it is because he feels he has to keep reminding everyone that they are way better off now then they were before he took office.  Alot of people are blind to that fact.   From my perspective you don't have to look far to see it.

Because they don't really believe what they pretend to believe, that's why.    

If they truly believed that God's will was being done... and that was what they wanted..... then they'd relax and roll with it.

"In God We Trust" is a crock of crap....cuz.... No They Don't !  If they trusted him then they'd quit praying for things to be different.
