Well since Scott ain’t going to brag about it, I’ll brag about it for him!
He caught a true Missouri giant smallmouth yesterday! Not many folks can say they caught a legit 5 pound smallmouth in Missouri, especially in a river.

I gotta see the entire fish and his left hand before I believe the whole 5lb thing. But it does look like a pretty good fish.

I’m not trying to make believers out of anyone on here hahaha. It weighed anywhere from 5.11 to 5.2 on Two different digital scales that had been zeroed every time but the wind was blowing pretty hard at the time and that slab of a Bronze warrior was turning into a kite so we went with the lowest reading. Unfortunately we are cropping out some of the pics for security purposes..... take it for what it is. Definitely the heaviest Missouri River run Smallie I have ever caught at just under 21 inches. I have caught longer ones thought up 21.5 but only weighed probably 4+ lbs

 A hand tied Rabbit jig in Olive with a Zoom Skinny chunk in GP..... creeping thru some rocks and felt a solid tap and saw the fish down in the water flash and thought man I hooked a big olde Gold Drum??? Not sure what I was thinking hahaha and then it starts bulldogging me like a horse and I started freaking and ran to the front deck and had to get on my stomach and try to lip her. I had to pry her jaw open to even try to lip her, it was a pretty entertaining couple of minutes 😉
