Better than skunks!  We were at Quarry Park on the Norfork 3 years ago and it was crazy.  One minute drinking a beer and the next there is a skunk under my lawn chair.

Had a similar experience at Fall Creek one night long ago when they still had camping there.  Buddy and I were the only ones there - must have been early in the year.  We cooked over a campfire and were sitting drinking beer and saw a skunk wander through camp.  Turned on a flashlight to look around and there had to be twenty of them foraging.  Little freaky but we kept more or less quiet and never had one go off.

I will admit to being an old guy who loves the sound of a Colman latern and they still have their place.   But Wrench is right the LED oes are incredible for the amount of light they put out and how long the batteries last.  Old timers used to hang the lantern on a stick and let it hang out over the water to draw bugs and minnows.  Or maybe try those citronella tiki torch things, not much light.  When I walleye fish after dark keep a head light on my hat but only turn it on when I need it, like to land a wally, or to walk back to the truck.

Me and my Ex was camping with my Dad. We was sleeping outside the Tent. I wake up there is a Skunk. I go set in a chair by the Tent.

Dad comes out why you here? There is a Skunk down there. Where is your wife? Down there. LOL man your brave.

One time we left the Back Door open. A skunk came in. I seen my Ex pick up a Boot. Before I could say anything she had thrown that Boot at the Skunk. It wasn't pretty.

My Brittanys both got sprayed while bird hunting in western Kansas a few years ago. And it sucked.

Yep.  Always drive a pickup when going bird hunting.  A skunky dog in the back of an SUV is a buzz kill:D   Learned the hard way.

Me too!   2 skunky pointers in the back of a Bronco for 30 miles.   Windows down but still so strong our eyes were burning.
