sfiser Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 We are having a work retreat at Big Cedar for 3 days the first week of May and they are giving us a $300 credit to used on an activity(fishing trip, spa, golf, etc) and I am going to use mine on a guided trip on table rock. Can anyone recommend a good guide for me to ask for that works out of Big Cedar when I call to book the trip? I went on a trip with Mr. Babbler on the rock several years ago and he was great (I didn’t book this through big cedar), hoping for a similar experience this time around. Either way it’s an almost free guided trip so I can’t really go wrong and I’m getting paid since I’m “technically” at a work retreat. Daryk Campbell Sr, magicwormman and MGP 3
Members Ragin_Rob Posted March 8, 2020 Members Posted March 8, 2020 I worked on the big cedar dock for two summers and would open the marina (I live on the lake). I got to have lots of conversations with all of the guides. Really great guys that know their stuff. There is a list of over 30 guides, but mostly 5-10 guides are the regulars because they are the best and are great with the guests. If they have the best reviews, they get put at the top of the list. I haven't worked there for two summers but there is an old man named Jimmy who is a dock hand at Bent Hook and Long Creek Marina. He has lived on the lake his entire life and is one of the best fisherman on table rock lake. He is also on the guide list. Great guy. Good stories. Call and ask if he still guides. If not, ask for a recommendation and they will put you with a good guide. I've always seen the guides come back with a good amount of fish, even when it is supposed to be tough fishing.

Good luck and post a report after your trip please.
Bill Babler Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 Yes, as it’s a BC function lots of us would not be in on it. Ask right now for Buster Loving.
