If I could draw a steady check without doing anything, I'd jump on it too. And I'd also think of a way to justify it so my conscience was clear, and so I'd have a rebuttal if anyone ever slammed me for it. 😊
ness Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 If I legitimately had an issue and met the requirements for disability I would apply and accept benefits with a clear conscience. That’s something we get here in the US, not to mention I’ve been paying into the system for 40+ years. Qualifying for disability doesn’t mean you can’t do anything. It takes different forms. I’ve got better stuff to do with myself than worry about who might be cheating the system. BilletHead and fishinwrench 1 1 John

Take 2 days off and then do it again? Because that's what it takes to keep yourself employable. 😊
Gavin Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Kids are liking the school closing. They are face timing their friends, nieces, and nephews across the country, and playing board games, guitars, and piano together. Duct taped one of their Ipads to a cardboard box to facilitate. Not sure that we have enough bandwidth. Figure I'll do 6 hours in the office, and the rest at home next week for the duration. We are very fortunate...will be sending some coin to the Webster Groves SD lunch program...think 10-12am pickup at Hudson School starting soon. Kid has gotta show, but no names, no questions, any kid from anywhere can show and get food. Will get a lunch for day of pickup, and something for breakfast for next while school is out. snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 My daughter is coming home from college today. She's been away a long time this semester so it will be nice to see her. They've been online classes for 3 weeks.

I truly believe this to be true. This is true. Unfortunately, some just won’t. I had a student a few years back that had two kids before she was 17. She straight told me that she didn’t need to pay attention in class VP because it didn’t matter if she graduated or not. Her life goal was to live on government assistance. Her mom did the same thing and so did her grand mother (all their lives) and it was all she knew or cared about. Believe me, she knew exactly how to play the system to get absolutely everything she could possibly get from it. It blew my mind what she told me she could get from the government. Kinda made me want to just give up and quit working myself. She was getting almost as much in benefits doing nothing as I was teaching full time plus extracurricular activity work. fishinwrench 1

Wow that seems like of money to be getting on the dole....😕
fishinwrench Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 There's an overabundance of government sponsored prostitutes around here. All they have to do is keep screwing and pumping out babies, and their future is secured. Society won't let any child go without....and the mother gets to ride along. The protocol is always the same.....Hook up with a guy, get knocked up, start acting like a c#&t until he gets fed up and does something stupid, then break up or divorce him and start collecting your funds from child support and the government. Wait 2-4 years and then do it again. It's a lifestyle for many women. And a punishment to many guys for not being gay. That's why so many women are attracted to "bad boys".... because those are the ones that they know are the easiest to get rid of when the time is right.
