Ms/Mrs Budweiser was / is a gold cup winning hydroboat. I'm guessing that wrench watched that race on LOZ. I enjoyed it for sure.

I have watched her race in Evansville at Thunder on the Ohio.  Saw her go by on I:55 many times while she was being moved around.

Mount ready for the jet to sit on it.  Wires run for the trolling motor.

Gonna sit the motor tomorrow and run it this weekend to tune height.  Then cap it off with aluminum.

Must be getting color blind, Camo Sand by Krylon not quite the match on the boat color.  But, this is really the first chance I have saw it dry and in daylight in the last few weeks.

If I was going to do it, I'd extend the tongue as much as needed to get the transom within 4-6" of the rear trailer cross member. Will be easier on your bunks that way, and it will balance better on the trailer, with the weight being closer to the axle. The bunks need to be long enough to go on past the transom a little bit too, the floor does not have much rigidity.

Make sure you use closed end pop rivets for anything below the water line. Regular ones leak like crazy, ask me how I know.

You guys are making me want to build a jet jon.

The trailer still needs work on the bunks, but have to get it out on the water to see what I really need.  I slid it forward about 2 foot on the tongue and it balances much better.

Put Put is on.  Probably needs to go a little higher, but I can.  Heading to St Francois River Sunday to give it the shake down cruise.  Maybe the white bass are running, its time.

Got her home this afternoon.  Installed gas tank, put on a pair of new 6 ply tires with white rims.  Put some reflective tape on the side stakes.

And gave her the name.

Thanks Mitch, we still need that fishing trip.  The name was fitting, its my get away from the crowd boat.  And she was born in a time that needs to be remembered.

BTW, happy anniversary to me, 3 years out now and still cancer free.  This is my celebration.

Why did they start naming boats in the first place.  Its an ole Nautical tradition.

My ole Tracker was called Fiddle Fart, because we spent more time messing with the boat than fishing most of the time.  I almost named my new bass boat Victory, but that failed and the cancer came back.

We have names for all of my buddies boats.  Yeller boat, blue boat.  He has two Panfish special with jet on them, just simply, big boat or little boat.

We sail thru the harbors on Pickwick Lake looking at all of the big boats, the names and other stuff.  Most sit there in the slips and gather dust.  I try to keep mine rinsed off.
