Still have some Sluggos around. Maybe even a BM in a less than effective color. Have to clean out the old tackle. If I was actually stay at home, I might get through all of that gear. But still working every day at the office. Were sluggos first?? If so I used them first,

Mitch f Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Virgil Ward’s whistling theme introduction and the intro to American Sportsman are carved in my brain. dtrs5kprs 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Jerry Rapp Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 I would sure like to find the old Virgil Ward shows on YouTube or somewhere. Anyone know if they are out there somewhere?

Unless you want to count the Danny Joe Humphreys floating worm. Late 80s for the Sluggo. Herb Reed's originals were hand poured. Used to get them from Northern Bass Supply (as advertised on the Billy Westmoreland Show). Yep. I have issues... snagged in outlet 3, Ham and Quillback 2 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 I first used a sluggo in Newport Rhode Island striper fishing. Those stripers fell all over themselves for them. I was the first guy to catch one on a fly that the outfitter had taken out. My picture was still hanging in their shop 15 years later. The guide thought it was the coolest thing ever. dtrs5kprs 1
