tjm Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Servus is heavy enough for wood cutting, high topped, snake proof, comfortable fit, have good sturdy lug sole and wear a long time. Ticks can not climb up them. They do get sweaty in warm weather. Look for them at Orscheln or order from Amazon etc. Industrial not fashion though.

Cotton picking ticks sit there with legs out and anything within reach even with out CO2 as we walk by we are grabbed. FWIW Oneshot giving my two cents worth. Get yourself a designated pants and long sleeved shirt. Treat them with Permethrin spray as directed. Wear this set of clothes dinging around during outdoor activities. It flat works. Now to your footwear dilemma again FWIW my opinion. Lots off good suggestions. I too like muck boots but they are getting real expensive. I have totally destroyed a pair and now use another pair that is about ready to go south. I have discovered Dry shod. Suppose a muck knock off but less expensive at this point. I have a problem bending at times too. I can just step into the boot and it feels and fits good. Actually better than my muck boot. When taking off I step into a tray by back door. I have a long board. While standing up use the board to grab the tab on back of boot foot. Hold it down and step out. Much better than using other foot to do this. Less chance of loosing balance. Be safe Oneshot. tho1mas and ness 2 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Devan S. Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 FWIW I also use dry-shod. Dry-shod owner was previous owner of Muck boots prior to him selling out to corporate interest. His non-compete was up and he is back in the game. I much prefer my dry-shod over my mucks. BilletHead and snagged in outlet 3 1 1

BilletHead Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 The Mrs on her day off was out in flower bed enjoying the warm weather and day in shorts and flip flops. I said you are asking for trouble. A bit later I hear her squalling on the back deck. I NEED HELP. I look at the door and immediately know what's up and grab the tape. Look closely at this picture you all 🤣. tho1mas and Quillback 2 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Dutch Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Yep. That is why I don’t get off the side by side unless it’s below 40°. BilletHead 1
