The only ones I have seen are in that what I call a Blue gray steel color. I messed with him for quite some time. Very pretty. MOPanfisher Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 He is a very cool color hognose, never saw one that color either. Used to see them a lot but seldom do anymore, used to irritate them just so I could see the puff out. May have been one taken to scool once and dropped in biology room with shout of COBRA, the teacher, she ever even flinched picked it up and said noo he is just a cute little hognose and kept if for a while in an aquarium. Well that's the risk you take in a small town high school. tho1mas and BilletHead 1 1
1farmer Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Saw one in the yard yesterday, the blue/gray color. First one I have seen in 7 or 8 years. We called them spradnatters when I was growing up. When they get tired of you messing with them they will rollover onto their back as if they are dead. BilletHead 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I saw one like that year near the Femme Osage. Big one too. I thought I took some pictures but I can’t find them.
laker67 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Old times also called them puff adders and spreadhead around here.

Could not tell from this photo. I have never seen one in the wild. 13 hours ago, BilletHead said: DING, DING, DING we have a winner! Well sort of how about an Eastern Hog Nose Should of taken him home but I left him be but got him off the road. I know folks who run any snake over just because! Definitely had got this had I seen these two photos or if it curled over and "died". Pretty cool snake for sure.
MrGiggles Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Looks like a new belt to me. BilletHead 1 -Austin
