How do you truly know if you're a D or an R? 

I think EVERYONE (and by everyone, I mean past felons too) should be allowed to have guns, if a person is eligible for release then they should have their rights restored, BUT I see no need for anyone other than the military to have high capacity magazines, so if banning those makes anyone feel safer, then fine. 

I am pro choice on the abortion issue. We have a population problem already, don't make it worse just because of some ignorant religious belief. Obviously if you choose to have an abortion though it needs to happen asap.

I think the government should stay out of family issues unless a serious crime is committed.  If something going on in your family displeases you then you are free to leave.  If someone prevents you from leaving then THAT becomes a crime.  Otherwise stay out of the family unit entirely. Wives that get repeatedly beaten are on their own if they don't leave.  If you wanna provide a place for them to temporarily go.... that's fine, but don't automatically throw the dude in jail for knocking the piss out of her..... because there's a 89% chance that she either provoked it, could have avoided it, or saw it coming and failed to GTFO.  That goes for monitoring people's actions after a divorce too, if you screwed and married a loser then suffer the consequences and leave the rest of society alone about it.   Our tax dollars don't need to be spent forcing your ex to comply and be a good parent.  If they are only supporting their kids in order to stay out of jail then you obviously made a bad choice.  That's not OUR problem.

Taxing should be equal across the board, a percentage per dollar earned regardless of how rich/poor you are. And sales tax rates should be left up to each individual state (but not by the county) and it shouldn't matter what item is being bought.

Got an Author I know and in she shows in her books she is very much Democrat. My Mother in Law is Democrat, lives with me and lets it be known how she feels about me but she is 86 so I show her respect.

I'm retired Union, they try to influence the way I vote so does our Church but I have my own mind.

Well for the record I’m a conservative, which has left us only one Party unfortunately for the last 30 years.

Elections are typically about the lesser of 2 evils for me.  Selections outside the 2 parties(and I have) are wasted as history demonstrates they will lose without backing.  Trump may have been able to pull it off, and I believe that is why the GOP eventually co-opted him.  He surely as hell ain’t perfect, but certainly was the lesser of...and likely will be again in November - despite the might of the MSM and CWF.

Governor.  I put him near the top of worst presidents ever.  For a lot of reasons.  Gun trader with Iran for one.  Dealing to keep the hostages hostages until after the election for another, being a horoscope policy decider for another, war on drugs for yet another, debts don't matter for another one, tax cuts for the wealthy for another.  I'm tired now and won't go on.
