You better look close on both ends.. That attitude will get your posterior beat or shot.  AND make people saw sides off of your precious smallmouth..  DON'T ever mess with anybody else's gear. EVER.  If you really think its a bad set call the DNR... You are not the judge.

Meat hunters will gut Smallies no matter what. If you want to beat some posterior bring it hahaha

Mess with my gear and I will. I don't keep Smallies.  I do and will protect whats mine. Only a jackass would destroy another persons property.

I see tons of unmarked & unattended limb lines. If baited I'll leave it alone...If unbaited and swinging above water, I'll cut it and toss it in the trash. Pretty obvious when they have not been attended for days.

Fished Saturday.  River was low and dingy.  Maybe 2 ft of visibility.  Took out at TDL.  Caught about 20 or so with a few that were 15 inches, the rest dinks.  Most were on a whopper plopper.  Only caught a few on jerkbait, and a few on a worm.  I think the low visibility ruined the jerkbait bite.  Didn't see another person except at put in and take out.  That was nice.

7/4 river was high and muddy.  Less than 1 foot visibility.  But I wanted to fish anyway, and didnt wanna fish a lake with the summer heat.  Fished a spinnerbait exclusively, only caught 6 bass, it was very slow fishing.  Biggest was a 16inch lm.  5 out of the 6 came waking a double colorado blade.  I had several missed blowups right at the boat.  Next time the river is in decent shape, I'm gonna leave my confidence baits at home and only fish spinnerbaits and crankbaits.

Had intentions of floating that morning myself. Went to the tdl access Friday evening to check river and it looked awesome. Got to mounts Saturday morning at daylight so I'd be first on the water. As I crossed the low water bridge my heart sank to see it muddy. I knew there were some pop up storms around Friday afternoon and evening. But had no idea the one around irondale had dumped so much rain. Knowing my muddy water limitations I turned the truck around, headed home and returned to my slumber....

Yeah i had the same feeling, but i made the wrong decision anyway lol.  What can i say, im an optimist.  The funny thing is, i caught 3 decent fish right before the hwy 8 bridge out of the rocks on a spinner bait, i thought its gonna be a decent day,  then i caught 3 more fish the rest of the float.

Got back on the river yesterday.  8 to tdl.  Its been a while.  Anyway, water was  perfect, a tad up, and visibility was about 4 feet.  I kept track today of all of the fish I caught.  I caught 33 fish total, with 25 bass.  Biggest was a 17 inch lm with one good eye.  I caught a few fish on everything I threw...Jerkbait, top dollar, whopper plopper, wacky worm, and a jig worm.  Not a great day though, and there were long stretches of no bites where there should have been.
