They won't.

City people are like cattle. Drop one off at the far end of the pasture, and they immediately head in the direction of all the Moo'ing.   They don't feel comfortable unless they are in the middle of a crowd.

Even the country folk are not in places. Our small town America is not being careful. I know it is a choice, heck I want a choice but denial over common sense is not going to cut it right now.

If the death rate is dropping it seems like people wearing masks and social distancing and washing hands is working.

So how does that work...if you get the disease and you’re wearing a mask 😷 your chances of dying are smaller than if you didn’t wear a mask? Less airborne particles inhaled = less serious complications?

I don't think many people are in total denial.   We all know there are ticks in the weeds, and we know that if we get bit by the wrong tick that it's going to be a bummer.     But nobody wants to bathe in DEET everyday and stay on the sidewalk.  Besides, tick checks are fun. 😁

You take chances on your own safety, and on the safety of others, no matter what you do.  Driving, operating a boat, casting heavy poppers & streamers....

It's just ANOTHER thing.

Yes tick checks can be fun but here is the common sense for the tick thing. I have a dedicated set of clothes that I spray and maintain with permethrin. When I plan on being in the woods I put them on so this is common sense. So like that when I am going to be around folks I do not know I am using common sense again and put on a mask. Common sense again. When Pat goes to work and before she enters the clinic she puts on a mask and it does not come off until she leaves the building and gets in her car. Common sense again.

Maybe we should be wearing a racing helmet when throwing heavy poppers and streamers? More common sense? 🤣

Well, I fished with a guy once who wouldn’t let anyone in his boat who threw treble hooks. Maybe not a bad idea cuz I once smacked @Al Agnew in the 🧢 with a 3 treble top water. 😂 Al didn’t get too excited and never missed a beat. Wasn’t  his first rodeo ya know!

The first big fly rod poppers I made were with treble hooks in the back. Way back then I really thought I needed them for better hook ups. They did work well and gave away several. The stories about the 14 foot boat, fly rods and the blitzes were with the treble hooked poppers. Told the gifted I would not be responsible for accidents.  I have decided a nice big B10s hook does well and that hook dressed up will wiggle like a tail.

Yeah I got one with the #2 treble 😅

It hasn't hurt ME but it put a scar on my Lowrance Hook5

No need, it didn't hurt itself.   IMG_20200910_174310555.jpg

Yea but I wouldn't want it to hurt you and maybe knock and common sense into ya. Send back :) .  Oh heck just enjoy it.  Maybe open that eye carefully. put on a dressed B10s dressed up hook point riding up also. Can work it around sticks, brush and stumps.
