So I normally fish TRL, but have finally had it with heavy boat traffic and high fishing pressure. A buddy talked me into fishing with him last Friday. What a difference. Boat traffic was minimal and few fishing boats. First trip to the lake and we were quite successful. Big worms were the ticket. Saturday we went back. Poppers were the ticket. Skipped Sunday but fished Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday was my best day in a couple of years. Caught them on top again and then big worms. Every now and then a spinner bait or square bill worked. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself this past week. Oh, we targeted primary and secondary points and transition ares. Points were way more productive.

I know we caught a bunch of fish. Most were in the 2lb range and several 3+.
Table Rock is officially on the back burner for a while.

We put in at the bottom of the hill. The ramp with the parking lot is still under water. We launch and park on the side of the road with everyone else.

When lake drops another 16.65 feet to (663.00). You can put in and use parking lot. Lake dropped 4.03 INCHES Friday, you can do the math, be awhile

I would think with high water for the last few years and minimal fishing pressure, BS should be fishing quite well.

Went back today. 7am to 1230. 22 bass in the boat. 3 under 12 inches. We have never caught that many on TRL. All top water on poppers. Would have had more but had a bunch of hookups but come off. My buddy put on a school and hates top water fishing. Last I heard he was going by the tackle shop. Bull Shoals is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Bull is the best lake in the Ozarks in my opinion. I would go down there and fish the Big Creek area a couple times a year back in the 90s and early 2000s and would love to get back. I can only imagine the numbers of fish that swim there. It is full of fish for sure.

I got a report from a friend who bass fished Tues and Wed. mornings from 7-11. Theodosia arm. Tuesday caught 14 keepers, Wednesday he caught 11 keepers. Topwater shallow and deep finesse.

If that report is true I think you would find that it would be hard to replicate that day on The Rock right now for sure.
