Sprint21fter Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Caught 19.33 lbs for 2 days, all I can say is when opportunity knocks open the dang door. Had chances for a good first day bag that would have pushed the lead. When fishing top waters this tends to happen. When you get around one they are very aggressive, had 3 solid bites and reeled into them with good pressure and had them coming to the boat only to pull off they didn't jump off. 2nd day grinded out 10lbs only had 1 big bite only for it to pull off right at the boat. Water color looks like we have had an algae bloom/turnover from Campbell point to Cow Creek. Fall fishing is around the corner with the cooler temps coming should be interesting. Wt: 75-77. Congrats to the winners! Quillback, big c, Daryk Campbell Sr and 4 others 7
Bill Babler Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Not positive at all but rumor has it, in the one day Aunts Creek derby on Saturday 18.8 was the winning bag for a very mature husband and wife team. Said they caught them from KC to dam in pockets on a Choppo, Blade and a ned if one missed either of the power fishing baits. I believe second was 14 something and third was 12 something. and then a bunch of no limits. Again this was just dock talk and the winning weight might be off. Regardless, if you catch 14 plus in a day right now you have just simply hammered them. A good friend was fishing the Aunts creek deal and had been catching them in Long Creek. Said the waves were so bad getting back to Aunts he did not make the weigh in. Said he was totally beat to pieces. He has an older 18' boat and said at one point they were scared they might be in trouble. Said he had never seen it like that on the Rock in the 50 years he has fished here. Friday and Saturday on Taneycomo was the worst boat traffic I have ever seen on that pond and I have fished it since 1972. I came within a hairs breath of putting my 23' AllWeld on a trailer at 9 am due to the traffic and the extremely terrible and dangerous boat operation. crazy4fishin 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

When you combine the rampant lack of respect for others, ignorance/wanton disregard of boating law/etiquette, alcohol, outright stupidity and other factors, the end result can only be more accidents and a whole lot less enjoyment for everyone. Bill Babler Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 James you are so correct. Main thing is total disrespect for others and the its all about me attitude. Further more correct information on the Aunts Creek derby. 16.8 won it from the dam area, I think I had the rest about right. All second hand info however. magicwormman 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Time to head to the lower lake Bill, tons of trout, very few boats. From Bee Creek to Rockaway always has a bunch of fish in it and some good ones and some times you can go several days without seeing another boat. I know by your old posts you used to fish it some, might be time to revisit it, I've grown quite fond of it the last few years as the boats up top are starting to ruin the experience more and more for me.

I agree one day about 8 years ago while we were in the Jan. Tournament a buddy and i caught 50 browns exactly off one spot on rapala countdowns. And not a dang one was over 18". We also had a ton of nice rainbows, and I messed up and only brought in 7. I thought we had 8 in there the whole time LOL snagged in outlet 3 and Travis Swift 1 1
