Not everyone has been schooled on ethical fishing and boat handling.

I'm still hearing stories of guys all pissed off because they got cut off and such during the Big Bass Bash.   It's as if people think that is a professional level event or something.  No man, it's open to anyone that has a fishing pole and can afford the entry fee.

The same expectation should apply to any random day on public water. I mean you saw all the vehicles in the parking lot before you launched, right?   Did you really expect that they were all out there being outstanding ethical sportsmen? 🙄

I mean, who walks into a rowdy bar expecting to be escorted to a chair?

Good points

I tell you what I hate....Otters. They get between the boat and the bank and scare away only the big fish. Even if you are fishing there first they have no manners, just show up and screw everything up. I have tried talking to them calmly as well as hollering at them and throwing things does no good they just do what they want.

As for people who aren't ethical, considerate, and are rude, if you fish and hunt enough, you run into them. Unfortunately that's our society these days. The secret is to continue to have a great day on the water or in the woods while navigating around these "people". Good Luck!

You need to just carry on a conversation with whoever your with, that goes like this:

"So, when's your next court date, bro?

The DATE is day after tomorrow, Sentencing.

Sentencing?!  How's that?

I plead out last time so I could get bond.

Why? Did they find the bodies?

Found one of them.

So what kinda time are you looking at?

Who knows, I ain't fixin' to show up to find out either."

They'll go find another place to fish pretty quick.

Or you could’ve said… “My parole officer says I need to find a new hobby!”
