My prediction:.

Once this upcoming election is over, and the results are "in the books",  this entire COVID panic will steadily begin to fade away.    By Black Friday all of it will have been forgotten.

.....and they lived happily ever after.

Let's see...record numbers of hospitalizations across the country, health professionals basically freaking out about the continually climbing numbers, huge numbers of deaths all over the world, other countries taking this extremely seriously...wow, what a conspiracy to affect the election!  Sorry, Wrench, but that's just plain stupid.

Alcohol kills an average of 261 deaths per day per the CDC, but the OP is taking shots to cope with the Covid.

102 per day killed per the Automobiles based on the NTSC, but someone drives to the liquor store to get the booze.

1 in 6 Americans get sick from food poisoning each year, its a gamble eating.

You can live in fear or accept the fact all life ends in death.  If you want numbers and risk, look at the facts.

If you are over 70, have diabetes, coronary or respiratory disease, immune deficiencies, or any underlying cause, hunker down.  Covid is 10 percent more deadly than the normal flu bug in that risk group.

Personally, I don't want to be sick of anything.  I avoid sick people and sick places.

Faith and Family.  Its all that really matters.

Geez, I don't want to argue about this anymore, but come on.  Automobile deaths?  Stop and think how many people drive in this country, and how many hours per year you and nearly everybody else spends in an automobile.  I would venture to bet that 300 million people regularly spend time in automobiles, and probably average somewhere between 10 and 20 hours a week.  If you commute very far to work and millions do, you're probably spending 20 hours a week just in commuting, never mind the trips to the store and the weekend getaways.  But let's say 300 million people times 10 hours a week, that's 3 BILLION hours per week spent in an automobile in this country...and ONLY 102 deaths per day, or 714 deaths a week.  Riding in an automobile starts to look like a pretty safe thing to do.

Alcohol?  I'd have to see the figures of what constitutes a death from alcohol.  But guess what?  Those people dying from alcohol will continue to die from it.  The number won't change.  The deaths from Covid are over and above all the other things that kill you.  Don't know about you, but I'd just as soon not put myself at risk of something else killing me that didn't exist before.  I don't have much worry about alcohol, since I barely drink at all.  I can control that.  Anybody with any sense that isn't already addicted should be able to control it.  I can't control what other idiots do that puts me more at risk of Covid.

Fact is, a new disease that didn't exist last year is on a pace to become the third leading cause of death this year, trailing only cancer and heart disease (and already surpassed ALL accidents, not just auto accidents).  And your math is wrong...Covid is 10 times as deadly as the seasonal flu, if the numbers keep going the way they are until the end of the year.

But I know I won't change your mind.  I just hope you don't find out the hard way that you were wrong.

My fiance is an RN at and said they are absolutely slammed due to covid. One of the RTs she works with claimed that they have seen more patients die this year tyan in the previous 20 years of their career. They have watched people in their 30s succumb to Covid.  The overall death totals for the US are a lot higher than they normally are even though many functions that require people to gather in large crowds have pretty well shut down. Regardless of whether covid cases have been misdiagnosed, there is no denying that the number of hospitalizations is way up overall and it ain't just a fluke.

I didn’t really buy in to the Covid panic for the first half of the year but listening all of the things that she has experienced this year has changed my tune.

We'll see.  Give it 3-4 weeks and we can hash it out again, if you want.

The only "health professionals that are freaking out" are the ones being put on the news.  There are many MANY more truly professional people in the health care field that aren't "freaking out" at all.    I suspect that your intellect on this subject is severely bias.

It's because you are scared and wanna be careful, I understand.    But you're scared because you were MADE SCARED.   You're not scared because of any REAL reason.

Guess how many people died needlessly from being shot since last February?   How do you feel about banning all firearms?  Do you even own a Kevlar vest?  Maybe you should. Seriously..... it's a growing epidemic, with a much higher death rate than Covid.

Whatever though, we'll revisit this in a month and see where we are at.  If I haven't died from Corona by then.

Exactly.  Of all the deadly diseases out there, you hear absolutely nothing about any of them since COVID entered the room.   Did they all just go away?

I’ve seen stats that say the overall death toll is no higher. But I’m not gonna argue with what Cari has seen.
plus, she might sick them wiener dogs on me! 😂

In all seriousness.....If a virus from a bat in China thins out the population in the U.S. and several other countries, then maybe it's for the best.

There's no denying that overpopulation is a bad thing, and leads to disease and death for a reason.    You all are always bitching about how crowded everything is.  It's freakin'miserable out there rubbing elbows with "my fellow man" all day, every day.     I love ya... but let's face it, I'm sick of you all as a whole.     And you're sick of me too.

So let's get on with it, what are you scared of?   I mean most of you are all going to heaven if you die, right?   Hallelujah baby!  ☝️😘

Wow! And my trump sign stealing post got deleted.    It was real.  Had video evidence and all.   How is this different.    Other than being from the left.    Just saying!
