Scared of outboard motors over 7 HP 3. Thinks the best pump shotgun ever was the Mossberg 500 4. Loves Brittany and Setter bird dogs. 5. Hates MDC because they wouldn't publish his writings. 6. Thinks people should pay to listen to him. ----;-;--;-;-------+++;;-;:::::::;;;--;-;;;;;;----- Fishinwrench: 1. Pack and 1/4 a day, plus the occasional Doobie. 2. Thinks a 7hp outboard isn't even big enough to mix a margarita. 3. Winchester 1200👍 Mossbergs are for throwaways if you're into robbing liquor stores. 4. Shorthair Pointers!👍 Brittany's and Setters are lap dogs for your wife, who enjoys picking cuckleburrs and stick-tights out of their fur (no offense, Ness). 5. Frustrated with MDC because they only pretend to care, are full of $#!t, pander to city pricks, and refuse to listen to reason. 6. Wouldn't shut up, even if you paid me to. I fail to recognize the resemblance. 🙄 timoH, Terrierman, Greasy B and 3 others 1 5
Greasy B Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 I haven’t picked up a fishing magazine in decades, they’re like Ken Burns documentaries, I can’t get my brain to think that slow. I do recall a story LD wrote called Ain’t No Such Animal, (Sports Afield?) I must have been 12-14 years old at the time. It was the first time I read anything about an Ozark river or heard of the Big Piney River. I guess Larry did some good there. snagged in outlet 3 1 His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
oneshot Posted November 13, 2020 Author Posted November 13, 2020 Well I already got one upon him MDC published a story I wrote years ago. Then my cousin with same name as me took credit for it. I like a Mossberg 500. Got a Benellie (sp) Nova hate it. Always bird hunted with Setters not because I liked them just what we had. Have used a little 3 HP and it did ok. Use to smoke 3 packs a day and enjoyed it. oneshot
MOPanfisher Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Best bird dogs are ones seine else feeds and takes care of. I suspect Larry could.benefit from the occasional application of Happy Herb. I do enjoy some of his stories though. bfishn and fishinwrench 2

I just love square headed dogs too much. I want to pet them, talk to them, and tell them what a good boy/girl they are. My dad would never let me "love" on his dogs like I wanted to, so when I got old enough to have my own I spoiled the hell out of him. My dogs would bird-up just fine.... but once you knocked one out of the sky that was just the beginning of PLAY TIME. Would play keep-away, chew them up like an old sock..... worthless as a hunting dog. But by-god I LOVED them 🤗 Terrierman and MOPanfisher 2
oneshot Posted November 14, 2020 Author Posted November 14, 2020 We had English Setters. One year first of the season birds were so young they couldn’t fly well. About messed the dogs up. oneshot
