I realize there are variables, but what would you say ballpark to install a new trolling motor. Not an I pilot or anything, just a basic 80lb thrust like a mun Kota fortrex or similar?

Typically from 105.00 plus parts ... to as much as the trolling motor costs. 😅

Yours sounds like a quick/easy one.

Ok, thanks. Don’t have the TM yet, but getting one soon and trying to get an idea of pricing.

Thats funny, I had Tri State cut down the shaft on mine a few years ago, it’s been backwards ever since.

Another over-priced and vague quote from a so called boat mechanic and want-to-be fish biologist. That's the problem with this mechanic he never gives a straight answer on price. It's always PLUS some more. Glad he's not a biologist he wouldn't be able to give a straight answer on anything as complicated as fish biology.

Another?  Who offered up the previous ones, and how much were they?

T'was an honest quote.  Take it or leave it.   Oh, and don't forget to check your fire extinguisher before you head out. 👍
