Since I moved to MO in July, I'd actually purchased an out-of-state license before we moved, thinking I might fish while house-hunting.  Non-Resident Fishing $42, Trout Permit $7, White River Border Lakes $10, Missouri Conservation Permit Card $2..... Forked over $61.  And then didn't fish until after we moved. :(

So, it'll be cheaper this time. :)

Thanks for the info, everyone. I was hoping to purchase my new license here in DEC or JAN, and it’s great that I can easily do that through buyfishinglicense.org ...good to know they won't be available until the end of FEB. 👍

In Iowa, there’s an overlap... I think your previous year’s fishing license was valid until Jan 15th.  But I think you could also buy the next year’s license starting in December.

I checked the MDC website yesterday, but didnt see 2021 licenses available yet.  What’s the typical timeline for MO Fishing License purchases?

If the MDC has not changed the dates, the fishing licenses used to run from Mar 1 to Feb28/29th the following year. They still offer daily licenses for $9 if you just want to get out for a day and can't get a annual license until the 3/1.

Aside from the fact that the thread is a few years past shelf life, this resurrection post is a cut and past of the OP post from 12-20-2020

Yeah, I agree.   Seems a bit suspicious.    @professioneat did you ever get your answer(s).   Kinda seems like an engagement software is controlling you.

No barking needed. I think a pointer is a much better choice. Computer controlled, why is the question

I'm cautious,  because a few years back we  had another instance where someone was called out for similar and I agreed with the accuser.  Ends up it was a misunderstanding and both are still active on here recently.

All the same.. " Why? "  Is definitely a good question.
