I had multiple fish turn down perfect size worm chunk. I switched to a fly and got one on second drop. . 🤔

73) Brook Silverside I had seen these guys off and on at Bull and Norfork. Knew they were lifers, but never had the gear with me to try for one. Kinds thought they might be Silversides from their behavior. 
Yesterday, while fruitlessly checking for some calmer water with a Longnose Gar, I got my chance. I had to re-rig to a #20 brassie. After that, second cast.

I would never have thought anyone could get one of those silversides on a hook and line.

One of the smaller lakes here in Bella Vista has a pretty solid population of them, the bass will feed on them over open water but it is hard to get those bass interested in anything when the are targeting those silversides.  Streamer would be a good thing I bet.

Hey Jeff, the Silversides are pretty easy to catch if you have the right set up. They have a relatively large mouth and are very aggressive. I bet they are Hell on the things they eat (bass fry ?).
