I'm going to guess Zags will be 5.5 over Baylor and 9 over Houston in the final. A lot of that will be how these teams look on Saturday of course.

Gonzaga is playing UCLA in the semis.  Baylor plays Houston on the other side of the bracket.

I'm aware of the matchups, I was just doing a little foreshadowing for the final. It boggles my mind how UCLA made it this far. I will most likely be on the dog Monday

That was a whoopin'.  Gonzaga seemed "entitled" until the UCLA game.  Then they were shocked to realize they were still human.  Lucky to make it to the title game if you ask me.

And then Baylor just flat outplayed them from tipoff 'til the final buzzer.

I loved it when they got in the wayback machine with the Baylor coach....  Took him a while but he got them there.

The speed and depth of Baylor compared to the Zags was totally out of proportion. Baylor's third big had 11 rebounds at only 6'5". He did weigh 260 however and could run and jump like a deer

Baylor's first 3 off the bench start for everybody in the country.

Total mismatch. Even though the Zags had some good P5 wins if they played a Big 10-12,  SEC,ACC Pac 10 schedule they would have multiple losses.

Well I was rooting for Gonzaga, so sorry to see them lose, but no doubt the better team won.  Baylor's defence was stifling, give them an open look at a three and they hit it, and any miss they had it seemed they got the rebound.  Very few open shots for Gonzaga also, they had to work for every shot.

We used to marvel at some of the size and talent that Baylor would put on the floor over the years but Scott Drew just didn't know how to coach.

Can't say that anymore.  Best defensive team in the country and best three point shooting team in the country ain't a bad combination but that was a clinic on how to beat a zone defense.  And I'm pretty sure there's not a single McDonald's All American on that team and most were three and four star guys at best coming out of high school.

Wasn't really much that Gonzaga could do about it either.  Go man and get beat by athleticism or go zone and get beat by discipline and technique.

Watching the Baylor guards toy with those guys out front was pretty amazing and entertaining.

Until about the five minute mark if the fouls and free throws hadn't been so lopsided Baylor would have been up thirty easy.

Although the best part might have been NOT having to watch Timme flex and kiss his biceps or blow kisses to the crowd.  Everybody gets humbled at some point and that was his turn in the barrel.

Priceless!

Baylor was simply too athletic for Gonzaga. I agree with Bill, if they played in a power 5 conference they would have had some losses. But they had a darn good team. And i love Mark Few. Supposedly he isnt obsessed with coaching, watching film etc. He still takes time to spend with his family. And he loves to fish!! Zags kept switching every screen and it created a lot of mismatches. I have heard that Gonzaga might even be better next year. They got the top ranked high school player coming in. Some 7' kid that is a monster. I was hoping for a good game since my bracket busted early. Didnt happen. The job Scott Drew has done down there is amazing. Murder in the program. No noncon schedule. Probation. Now a championship!
