Just like the term "tunnel hull"......which is redneck speak for "ghetto pontoon".

Apparently many of our local redneck boat builders here on the White river are partial to tunnels these days. Seems most of the newer models have tunnels. I posted a couple of random pics earlier but here is a more concise list and better pics. As I said before, I haven't been in a tunnel jet but there must be a reason these guys are building them.

Too bad they don't get on here, they could save a bunch of effort and time.

If the goal is to navigate shallower then making them WIDER would be a good move.    Why are all of the "White river boats" so rediculously narrow ?

Most of the manufacturers are still holding to the old way which was a wooden boat that was paddled.  I believe they make some 60" bottom riverboats now though.
