Fly fishing for bass

I rigged it up tonight with just a straight 8’ length of 10lb I had. Put a perfection loop at the end to connect to my fly line loop and we’ll see how it goes in the morning.

I can tell you one thing.  Slinging a big rabbit hair streamer is a lot different than having a size 14 whooley bugger on the end of the line.

A buddy and I went out for some topwater action today.   Pretty slow actually.  We did catch several runts and FINALLY one good one slurped in a Crease Fly.

I haven’t thrown a crease fly in forever.  Those salty fish used to love those.

Best topwater minnow imitating fly I've found so far.  

You need to see the Wiggle minnow that our mutual friend has come across.   Constructed on a 2-3" long piece of bead chain.   That thing is the tits !
