Your finances are glad that you can't, too.

I recovered a similarly designed 200 a couple years ago that had been submerged while running.  The cost was a bit over 2k.

I have that same motor - not the actual same one but the same model - on my Shawnee.  Think I'll keep it.

Well built 2 cylinder / 2 strokes are hands down the most reliable, hard to kill outboards on the planet.

Simplicity rules!

That guy must be wanting a new motor, but his wife said he couldnt have one until he blew it up...typical yamaha problems.

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

I gotta admit that a Johnson/Evinrude, if overheated that badly, would definitely need a head gasket and new crankshaft seals at the very least.    I'm pretty sure that the Yamaha would too.

The dude actually had 4 of those identical motors (in a previous video).....so I'm not 100% convinced that video is truthful in it's implication.

I had an old lawn boy two stroke lawn mower.  I kept saying I'll get a self propelled when this one shoots craps.  It's still running 30 years later.  I got a great deal on a honda self propelled when my neighbor moved into a subdivision that won't allow gas mowers.  Otherwise I'd still be pushing that lawn boy.  My brother has it and it still runs fine.

Guy down the street has a new electric one. I'll probably buy onw when the husky dies. But I could never live in a place that has rules like that.
