yep, give up everything that you enjoy to eat and drink.  Get healthy.  Live to 95, the last 12 to 15 years in the nursing home hoping to win Bingo at least once a week, but by God you ain't dead.  Moderation is about the best I figure I can ever do.  Then take my chances that an 18 wheeler doesn't T-bone me on the highway.

I'm hoping I can make it to 80 physically (and mentally) fit enough to get my boat in the water and fish.

Gear?   Explain yourself.

Why should I have to change my diet that has been serving me well my whole life?   That sounds like some $#!t a doctor or biologist would say, just so they could have something to say besides "I don't know".

What other animal has to change it's diet when it reaches middle-age?

If I have to change my diet then I'm going back to tittie milk and shittin' my pants.

Gear = Testerone

How many animals can process their food into a non natural substance that wreaks havoc on their body?  Skyrockets their blood sugar and puts them into metabolic disease.  Now I'm no armchair doctor or biologist like you but I'm thinking not many.😁

I don't care if I live to 95 I care about is what I can do until 80 or so.  Really just the next 15 years or so.  Not just sit on the sidelines because my body can't keep up.

You're ignoring the fact that our lifespan has been steadily increasing for the last 1000 years.

Before all the crap that they say is killing us came to be....We were lucky to see 39.

Yep.  Drugs, healthcare and the lack of being eaten has done that.  Old folds homes are full of long lived people but they aren’t active.  Hard to be active and physically able when you’re over weight or no cardio stamina.

Not everyone is into things that require strength and stamina.   You can't judge the quality of life FOR EVERYONE by what they're capable of doing physically.    The world champion Gamecock Breeder doesn't care that he is incapable of launching a boat, riding a mountain bike, or playing badminton.   And the world champion chess player doesn't care that he is incapable of lifting a bag of chicken scratch.   Each lives a very full life, and is quite happy with that life.

How many avid fishermen do you know that can run marathons, and climb and repel down mountains.....or wish that they could?    Personally I have no desire.  I'm perfectly happy with my life knowing that I'll never reach the top of Everest......or even Stone Mountain Georgia for that matter.

The beauty of the US is we can all choose to do what we want.   I think you’ve made a pretty far reach there.  I’ve seen lots of old guys who had to give up fishing because they couldn’t put on waders or even get in a boat.  I want to be able to do that for as long as I can.   Once I can’t it’s drinking, cigs and desert for me😆

I’m only 67 but things are falling apart.  Fell messed my Shoulder up. Found I have Prostate Cancer.

Doctor said I can’t do anything until end of the month and yes I have put weight on.

Legally because of medication I can’t drive but do every so often. Go fishing or other things. Have GPS because I tend to get turned around.

Get healed up start going to the Gym. Get to where I can bend and have more balance. My Doctor is surprised how active I am with yard and garden work but because of my Legs he says I shouldn’t be able to walk.

Bingo I win around $1,000 a month.

Just got back from giving Blood and Urin.
