Fished with a friend from work on Friday from Kimberling to Little Indian and had a pretty good day.  Definitely more water color than the dam area but clearer than expected after the rain.  Caught some keeper spots and LM’s on white blades jigs early which is completely foreign to me on TR.  Used shakey heads, ned rigs and jigs the rest of the day.  Caught 12-13 with 5 keepers.  Fished the dam area Saturday with another friend.  Caught 15-16 with less keepers but good ones.  Ned rig, jigs, shakey head and flukes.  Saw new beds each day that would have been on dry land last week.  Watched a lot fish courting and rolling around which is always cool to see.  Fishing shade and lure color was a big factor both days.  Watermelon red shakey heads, GP Orange Ned Rigs and light green finesse jigs with watermelon twin tail grub trailer.  I couldn’t get bit on any of my usual PBJ stuff.  And I’m about to have a fire sale on my swim baits.  I don’t remember catching one on it in years, and I’ve tried a lot.  Will post pics tomorrow.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Donna catches them consistently on several sizes of swimmers out of the back of the boat. Me, not so much. Fortunately for us SplitG2, we know other ways to catch em. 😁

One more thing I might start selling is the blunt half of all the Zinkerz that I don’t use for ned rigs.  To me, there’s absolutely a difference in the action of the sharp end compared to the the blunt.  It’s the muffin stump of ned rigs for any Seinfeld fans.

I'll make an offer.

There's a reason Drew designed the TRD to look like that end of the ZinkerZ 😉.

I use both ends, but if pushed, it seems like the stubby end catches better size.

I’ve never cut one to make a Ned bait.  They make TRDs for that.  I use the Zinkers and Zeros for Shaky until they wear out or get lost.

My issue with the TRD is the lack of salt content.  Some of the Zinkerz are pretty salty, I like to stretch them out, get the salt out and you end up with something that is very foamy, floats well, and will move with very little rod movement.  I think it really helps in the winter when I am fishing it really slow.  Maybe doesn't matter as much when the water is warm and the fish are more aggressive.
