Winter before last I put Leaves to them. Last year I pruned them heavy.

Ones that were growing now are dead. Looks like all out of a 20 foot row all but one is dead.

More work once Doctor releases me.

The wild ones behind my house were blooming like crazy the last week. If I continue to let the woods reclaim my yard, I'll be able to pick from my driveway in a couple years.

I can't dance like I used to.

You only prune the ones that have had fruit. Leave the new ones totally alone.

Or hell just mow them off, they seem to come back just fine. Short of brush killer I think the only way to kill them is to try to take good care of them.

I find this to be 100% true.

I think I put too much the wrong Mulch on them.

Just went out cleaned all the Mulch off. See what they do. I still have couple plants if I have to go with them it might take awhile, I started with 14 plants.

Year before I didn’t prune them thinking more the better but had a lousy crop. So I pruned them and Mulched them with Leaves and Straw. Guess that held in too much water.

They grow like some kind of super power alien invader on the wet side of the mountains in Washington.  They would take over anything, empty lots, pastures, logged out tree farms, it's nuts.  Based on those dang things thriving it that cool wet weather, this should be a great year for them here.

My grandma made a killer black berry cobbler.  Vanilla ice cream on top of warm cobbler, man that was good.

Yes all over in the North West. Have been to Orofino Idaho area a couple times There are giant blackberries all over. Nice big tasty juicy ones. Red and yellow plums and apple trees growing wild. A person can forage to his or hers hearts content.

They are usually tough.  It took me several sprayings with Roundup to get rid of them in my garden.
