Just wondering how many going to Nixa Sucker Days?

Never been.  Only tried suckers once don’t need to again.

Most Grab or Gig them I just fish for them.
 

Kids didn’t know how good they was until I cooked up some now they want to go Sucker fishing.

I lived in Nixa for a couple of years back in the very early nineties. They actually had some sucker back then. Got to say, it wasn't walleye, but it wasn't bad at all.

I'd travel to catch/gig/snag suckers and fry them fresh on a gravel bar, but I wouldn't drive 20 minutes to eat sucker in town. The experience is better than the actual consumption.

Yeah I can see where a "Cox Sucker Festival" may not go over too well in the bible belt.  😂
