Seth Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Palaniuk was also leading at LaCrosse on the Mississippi River in 2013 before he got a day 2 DQ for culling on the wrong side of the channel. It looked like he was going to run away with that one until the DQ. That was the tourney prior to his 2013 win at St. Lawrence.
Bill Babler Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Didn't he get another DQ, somewhere for a navigation violation that did not even pertain to fishing? If I remember correctly he has had two DQ's. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 And he won Angler of the year which is probably the hardest thing to do in Pro fishing. I think he probably has earned his TV time

The accusation was that Palaniuk was given those waypoints by a BASS staff member just prior to the start of that event. Duckett and others who brought the lawsuit alleged that the BASS staffer relayed those coordinates from a local guide to Palaniuk. Not saying he did or didn't but there was definitely a lot of smoke behind the BASS curtains for there not to be some substance to the allegation. Meanwhile, he still hasn't won "the big one" while Hank Cherry has now won two in a row. One might think with the diluted field now in BASS, he could win if he was as great as the BASS cameras have played him up to be for years now.
Travis Swift Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 BASS is anything but "diluted". These are up and coming stars that can hang with anyone. I'm enjoying the heck out of all of them. By the way if Boyd had a bone to pick with Brandon he wouldn't of invited him to "his" league when he created it I wouldn't think. gurzik and nomolites 2

He hasn’t done too well in the five fish format recently and I’m not surprised he wanted to make a move -if he didn’t have big sponsorships and a tackle line he would have been broke a long time before MLF launched. He was fishing on reputation alone. That said, I’m confident he can smoke me in a 1v1 any day.... Mike
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 I think Duckett was rich well before he had a tackle company and boat dealership, those are just his hobbies. I think i rememer hearing he had a trucking company and was a big developer
Jerry Rapp Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 a Classic observation - they fish 4 day tournaments all year to qualify for the Classic. Then it is a 3 day tournament. Why? What if the NFL only played 3 quarters in the Superbowl? I have never heard BASS's reasoning on this. Do they have a reason? Champ188 1
