I know for a fact gunwale repairs are available.  Check the youtube.  One rib is not a big thing either.  Might be best to just strip the canvas and replace.  I'm betting some Old Town collector would give wrench's left nut for that boat just as it is.  Maybe some parts from wrench's uncle oneshot too.  I'll give you $20 for it right now.

Sell me that Snapper, then you can buy that canoe and start pickin' & peelin' that rubber off of it.

That'd be a great project for you.

Is this your Earl Scheib paintjob?  OK,   $30.00.

There ya go!   Now there's one minus the Flex-Seal job. 👍

If it is flex sealed that thing will never sink.  They put a screen door in the bottom of a jon boat coated in the stuff and it still floated!

I took a 17' Tracker Pro in on trade, and that sucker had a terrible leak all along the center rib.  I pulled the floor, cleaned and dried everything, and did a 8" wide strip of Flex-Seal inside and out.   That boat remained leak free for at least 6 years that I know of.   And that was while taking a Lake Ozark pounding every weekend for 7-8 months out of each year.

It actually is good stuff.
