Flatheads love them.

Oh yes and koi too. Have a bait shop that sold and I think  still sells koi on the cheap. He said he cannot use the term koi so he sells them as fancy carp.   A big one was caught up at Caplinger mills a few years back.

This is one topic that gets my blood boiling! Why can't people understand they are hurting the eco system when they do that? I would venture to say that most of the time it happens it is because someone has to move and can't take it with them. Oh, I can't bear to see my pet goldfish die so I should just release it in the creek or local lake. 🤬

There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

The wifey was looking for goldfish for a new 10 gallon setup for the grandkids.  All the pet store had was black bug eyed things.  I directed her to the local bait shop and said she could find them there.  Ended up with Mollies.

I assumed someone used them for bait and that’s how they got there.  Bait shop used to sell them.
