Fast food has been getting worse in the last year, I mean in a big way. The service is off the charts in a bad way. Popeyes closed after 6 pm the other day. The welfare system isn’t helping. No one wants to work anymore. What has America come to?? I feel for my kids.

I operate a fast food store and let me tell you it has been miserably difficult to get help.80 percent of the people who have dropped out of the work force have been women over 20 and this was my main day staff in the fall and winter. We have seen massive growth and I rum a good shop but it has been tough. . .

What happened to the days when kids actually learned something working for fast food? I mean they learned quickly you can’t run to your safe place and the customer is always right! Miss those days.

Here's what people (customers) are fed up with:.  Seeing/hearing commercials from these fast food joints.....and then when they decide to go, it's all disgusting and a ripoff.   So whatever that advertising campaign is costing them....it is a total waste of money.

Make some truly GOOD FOOD and not only will people come back often, the word will get out, your customers will do your advertising for you (pro bono), and kids will be proud to work there......instead of being ashamed to work there.

Hell no, McDonald's and Sonic can't keep help. No surprise there!  Who would WANT to be a part of that?

It isn't that kids are "too lazy to work", it is that kids want and deserve to be proud of where they work.   Do something to make them proud to be there !

It’s not just fast food. It’s hard to find anyone to do anything.

And the “welfare system” hasn’t changed anything. We were so happy for states to end the extra COVID cash but once it ended nothing got any better.

Then what has changed? If it’s not the welfare system what is it?

Just one good kid working there could make a difference. There was a kid who listened to what I said and was very knowledgeable and articulate. I seriously thought about giving him a huge tip but I was 10 miles down the road and didn’t want to turn back

If you've ever worked for a company that you hate, then you should be able to understand.

These lake bars down here that everyone loves and raves about.....They have ZERO problems staying well staffed.
