Terrierman Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 It's hard for me to think it would ever (and that's a long, long, real long time) be OK for any live - as in real loaded ammunition - to be allowed on a movie set. Any movie set anywhere. Much less a western or a cop movie or a gangbanger movie etc.- where prop guns are going to be in use. Somebody needs to and probably will go to jail. gotmuddy 1

I guess the problem is tracing the gun and who touched it prior to the incident? Until the cops have an airtight case the prosecutor isn't going for an arrest that might get thrown out? Pinning down where charges will actually stick might not be as easy as if it were a personal weapon. Realistically though if this happened to not so famous people it would not have made the news at all. How many were shot that day/night in places like Little Rock or Chicago? Why aren't we discussing them? 298 homicides in St Louis in 2020 and I don't recall any upset on the forum about one of them. Terrierman 1

As August 21st 69 children have been injured in shootings and 16 have died in the St. Louis area. Nobody cared. Lots of upheaval over Michael Brown on George Floyd though. 🤷♀️ Mitch f 1

If they still have a job due to budget cuts by the Mayor. There are those who care, but are throttled by public opinion. They are helpless to enforce the law of the land. If they try, they face prosecution. Not many thugs respond to "Hey, Stop, Give UP." That only happens in the movies. nomolites, Mitch f and snagged in outlet 3 2 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

jdmidwest Posted December 4, 2021 Author Posted December 4, 2021 Typical response from an anti gun type. Basically " the gun was doing the shooting, I just grabbed it to stop it". Firearms are deadly weapons designed to destroy the other end if fired. If you pick one up, you must be prepared to destroy something. The firearm is always loaded and you treat it as such, RULE #1. Can't get out of this one, he owns it. Just waiting to find out what the law has to say. https://news.yahoo.com/john-schneider-rails-against-alec-041557767.html "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S.
