MoCarp Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 People wonder how people eat so much fish, commonly commercially sold fish like catfish and trout, get over harvested and sold and bartered….bass, crappie, walleye show up in fish markets…so that dude who “ fill his freezer” just might be selling. https://www.walleyedirect.com/product/whole-crappie-11.html https://www.goldbelly.com/pike-place-fish-market/rainbow-trout-whole-fish MONKEYS? what monkeys?

Quillback Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 No doubt poaching occurs, but I'd bet the guy selling those fish in your first post is selling farm raised fish. Largemouth Bass – Freshwater Aquaculture (extension.org) gotmuddy, BilletHead and Daryk Campbell Sr 3

fishinwrench Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 This might explain all these incessant crappie fishermen that are out there all day/every day. It's either that, or they just hate their wives and kids and need to stay away from home as much as possible. Even if that was the case you'd think they could find something else to do. Nobody can enjoy crappie fishing, and crappie eating THAT MUCH. Jerry Rapp 1
MoCarp Posted January 22, 2022 Author Posted January 22, 2022 It’s food for thought, price a live bass for stocking too pricy to be food….way more than what that sticker says 11.99 for each 8””-10” buy the pound 20 bucks a fish that’s cost….have to sell them for 35…..hence the accusation https://jonesfish.com/products/largemouth-bass MONKEYS? what monkeys?

BilletHead Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 For everyone posted there are thousands of people doing it the right way. You Mr. Carp are the second most pessimist on this forum.
