In today's world if there is something you want to learn how to do, you can learn it on your own.   Universities don't hold a patent on information or instructions.

Plus most all "higher learning institutions" are both bias and politically slanted in their teachings, so the actual quality of the education they offer is highly debatable.

A "degree" only indicates that you answered questions/ performed tasks in the way that you were instructed to.  And that doesn't necessarily make you smart, or brilliant....it just makes you a good student

Maybe for some or even most jobs but certainly not all.

Can I request one example ?

Crazy I have trained people just out of College. Knew more than them but couldn’t get their wages because I hadn’t spent time in College.

I don't doubt you "could learn" a lot online but getting hired without the degree certainly isn't possible.

When you say "learn it on your own" do you mean just casual interest or the details to actually "do" the job?

Because if you mean to "do" the job at a professional level there are countless in the civil engineering field alone.

So your claiming that nothing was ever designed, constructed, and maintained before college's were.......uh........built ? 🤔

🤣

What came first....the books, or the library?

Getting hired by someone ?    Is that our only goal?

Hire yourself !
