I hope you understand I’ve never kept a trophy fish.  Just memories and pictures.  They are still trophy fish though.

Trophy or Trophy-sized fish is an expression...doesn't mean harvested and taxidermy'd.

Honestly, I just wanted to see some photos of smallmouth from my favorite stream. Seems that this forum is a little too sensitive for things like that. I hardly get any useful information from it. People are so worried that you want their “secret” spots to give any real fishing reports. The upper upper Finley is not a secret anymore guys 

That last sentence is truth. If you want to see pics of the river and small fish I can do that. Trophy fish? I’ve seen some. Not on the end of my line though.

Even a 14-15 inch smallie is a great catch.

Well speaking of the Finley, 

I went yesterday for a few hours. Fished in and above the park. Managed one chunky 13 inch smallie on a small swimbait. The water was high and the mixture of current and wind made it very difficult to fish. Didn't have my depth finder with me but I'd say the water wasn't over 50 degrees.

No smallmouth bass should ever be a "trophy", if you are gonna kill one of those,  you should at least respect it enough to eat the thing. Trophies are for  ball players and short bus kids.

All it takes is a picture to have a mount made.  Measurements are helpful too but not 100% necessary.
