Why would even WANT to discuss politics on a fishing forum? There are a million other places besides OAF to talk about politics if your heart so desires. Besides, it's a midwestern based fishing forum so the chances of it turning in to a conservative circle jerk are exceedingly high.....

I don't care to discuss ANYTHING with anybody that doesn't fish, hunt, or otherwise enjoy the outdoors.  

For me to care anything about your point of view there has to be some kind of connection.

The reason i asked is due to a few current topics i see, that in the old days would have possibly been moved to that section. 
 

And, it was a place to go when i would get bored here, to sit back and read the same guys go back and forth like a baptist and JW that were married. 
 

And if I remember correctly, it was a place for most things off topic, like the streaks in wrenches undies.
