Smoke Alarm?

If you feel comfortable adjusting your sensor on your own, you will need to remove the data card from your smoke detector. Once you have the data card out of the device, you can use a screwdriver to make adjustments to the card. If the ones you have are the older type, or have no card then skip to plan B:

If you have them in/just outside of a bathroom, some times the steam will trigger them. You may need to move them down the hall. If they are in the kitchen, i would recommend a photoelectric smoke alarm, which will generally be less sensitive to standard kitchen smoke than an ionization smoke alarm.

I can relate to that.  Ours are hardwired into the house electrical circuit with a battery backup.   Occasionally one will start intermittently chirping LOUDLY for no apparent reason.....and when one chirps then they all chirp.    It's enough to make you wish that the house would burn down.

That indicates the battery is low.

Putting in all brand new Duracell's never stops it.

Hitting the TEST button shuts it up for an hour or two.....but then it will usually start chirping every 15-20 minutes again.....but only on days when it is acting up.

They are supposed to detect Radon, Natural gas, and pretty much everything else deemed harmful in the state of California.....So it is probably getting a sniff of hairspray or nail polish from the girls rooms. Or possibly one of Orion's wicked farts.  A close lightning strike sets them off too.  That has caused me to panic and run all over the house more than once.

FIFY 😆.
Or….   It was installed by one of those crackheads you think are building the world one hit at a time😂

I'm for sure Amber will attest it for sure is not Orion setting off the alarm with toxic farts. Pat and I have witnessed her saying something about her dad farting while they were sleeping in the SUV and running her out of it one night.

Does anyone Smoke in the house setting off the alarm?

Could of it been Douglas cooking after he took over Sugarbritches kitchen when he visited?
