Good call. Saw some isolated good stuff on 248 from Cassville to Flat Creek today. 76 was a letdown. Spotty frosts likely this week, so maybe next weekend.

I love the fall. Great temps, usually dry, then you have fall colors. Been down in NC last few days and things are just starting to turn.

A couple of years ago I was listening to a discussion of fall colors and how/why they happen.  They trees actually retract what they need from the leaves in order for the tree to go dormant.   The length of fall color had alot to do with how dry or moist the soil is.  Spring soil moisture has a bearing on the colors' vibrancy.   That being said, I believe per the info this year will be a quick and not so vibrant year for alot of the Midwest due to the lack of rain all year.  

 

Now, I am no Meteorologist,  and I did hear this from a well respected Meteorologist.   Just not one I respect for personal reasons.  A story best told in person.
