Had salmonella once and never want it again. Health department contacted me and wanted to know what I'd been eating and where the food came from. I don't know how they tell the difference between bacterial and viral, or even if they try. The doc called it food poisoning. The paperwork says viral gastroenteritis. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
bfishn Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 I've long wondered the definition of food poisoning. Had plenty of semi-bad bathroom sessions that I blamed on what I'd recently eaten, but never what I considered serious or 'poisoning'. Hope I never do. I can't dance like I used to.

fishinwrench Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 There's a theory that the more you protect yourself from germs......the more susceptible you become to ill effects from them. If you drop a Vienna sausage on the outhouse floor......pick that sumbitch up and EAT IT ! 👍 Got a piece of moldy jerky? pinch off the green fuzzys and chow down! Eventually you'll have the immunity of a dumpster possum. Hawg 1
tjm Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I suppose if you are eating sausage in the outhouse to begin with that a bit of floor dirt wouldn't put you off your appetite any. Quillback, BilletHead, fishinwrench and 1 other 4

rps Posted November 12, 2022 Author Posted November 12, 2022 Green fuzzy jerky? Vinnies on the outhouse floor? Possums? Part of what makes me read this forum is the way ANY topic can turn, in the blink of the eye, into something unexpected. On a related note, on my profile, I see zero warning points. How many do you believe some (ahem) unnamed members may have? fishinwrench 1

Foghorn Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Saw one spelling of the town as Gasville and another in the thread as Gassville? The first sounds appropriate for what happened to you. Hope your back to 100%.
