Pat and I all the way to the western side of the cascades in Oregon for coastal cutthroat. Let's call it the continental united states and driving. Sooooooo do I win? I know @Quillback lived out there and caught many species but did he drive there? I would have to get a compass and draw a circle but think out of all the fish namely cutthroat this is the farthest we have driven. Like this thread.

Well I drove there from Boston, but it was because I moved there.  But one of the reasons I moved there was for the outdoor life.   I really don't have a good estimate on how many miles I have put on vehicles going hunting, fishing, and hiking over my lifetime, but it's got to be at least a couple hundred thousand.

.... I do find that once I get beyond I also never know when I may find out that I have been missing out on a lifer that is close to home, but that is a different story and more to come on that deal 😉

Ahem.    Gonna just chum the waters and see who takes the bait?

Looking forward to it.

The day that my granddaughter was born (did not know that at the time) I drove over 630 miles round trip to fish SEMO particularly Mingo and around Polar bluff. Caught my first warmouth, redspotted sunfish, westrrn blacktail shiner, and brook darter on that trip. Missed seven gar on @BilletHeadgar fly. Did not catch a bantam sunfish. Definitely worth the trip.

Caught my first Warmouth

Really? I was catching Warmouth before I started grade school, but on the other hand, I still haven’t caught a Brook Darter

That was my first recognized warmouth. I caught my first pumpkinseed and brown bullhead when I was in grade school. It's all about location.
