Can I be the last guy in? Please !

Yes you can... Rules are at the top of page 2, please read.  I added a simple one later, please add your OAF handle/name to the return address of the flies.

It looks like Trythisonemv is a no show.  I've reached out multiple times via his email as his OAF messager here is full.  I'll give it a couple more days, but if anyone wants his slot, let me know.

Thank You! I sure will mic. Still deciding on the fly. Maybe my Seegar Minnow. Maybe a Clouser

I am trying to wait for power to be restored to start tying

I neatly packed all the things I would need to create these wonderful flies while I was traveling this week. Last night in the hotel I pulled everything out and made sure I had everything ready to get these done. Unfortunately, the most important item, is still at my house. Kind of hard for me to tie a fly without a vise.

Well, I spent a few hours at the bench and got my SeeGar Minnows tied. It’s a Size 10 streamer intended to glide along with the hook point up.

I devised it to drag in front of Gar high in the water column, but I have caught drum, white bass, and yellow bass on it as well as gar.
Durability has been an issue. So, I tied these with craft fur instead of buck tail.
I am a wildly inconsistent tier. So, each fly is a one of a kind of sorts. They aren’t all that much to look at, but they were purpose built. #bekind

Back in the day, the only way I could learn about John Wilson's Trout Crack was by entering into a fly swap that he was participating in......or hire him to guide me for a day

When I finally got my hands on it I messaged him and said "Seriously? This is IT?" 😅

He messaged back and said...."Just shut-up and TRY IT".

Bingo!  Lesson learned.   The JW TC is one of my most productive scud patterns EVER.   And I understand 100% now.

You can learn a ton by participating in fly swaps. Don't discount any of the flys you get......Go get them wet !    👍

Coffey's Sparkleminnow was the same way.   Had I not gotten an original in a swap, and reverse engineered it, I would have missed out on a wicked good fly pattern.

I wanted to participate in this, but my tying skills are pretty rusty and along with a couple of other issues they kept me from embarrassing myself. I hope we will get  photos of the selection, though.

Hey... crappy flies are very welcome here.  You are welcome to tie ten simple flies... something like a micro leach if you can knock them out this weekend.  Let me know if you want to give it a go.
