Berkley Surge Shad - discontinued?

I think they have stopped making them, I picked up a few on the Berkley site, they have them on sale.  Limited colors.  TW is out of them.  

I know there are some folks on here that fish them, they are a good wake bait.  If you like them, you might want to pick a few up.

Surge Shad seems ok but doesn't get the bites for me that my Fins do. You just have to find a few good Fins and hang onto them.

Differences are very small in the baits. I think the fin fishes better shallow and around trees and the Surge may pull them a little better in deep water without structure. 

Im probably full of Horse Pucky on that but you can run the S. Shad a bit faster with more noise and movement. 

I looked at the Berkeley site and they just had Blue ones left. Don’t know why I looked, I must have 20 of them and 3 times that many fins. 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Definitely a bait you don't lose many of, i had a dozen hanging in the basement and that many more headed my way.....oh well, could be spending the money in a tavern......

come to think of it, i have been using the same one since i got them, replaced the hooks a few times, she is definitely beaten and battered but still catchin em.

Some of you may remember when I had a dozen Top Dollars painted by Hughes about 10 years ago. I have given two as gifts.  One I sailed high into a sycamore and I could not retrieve. I have three left. The others disappeared into trees and bushes when I couldn't turn the fish fast enough.

Surge shads will disappear the same way. Cherish what you have.
